So, Star Jones announced yesterday that she filed for divorce a month ago. Is that really a big surprise? I think not. From the day she and Al started dating, people were saying it would never last. They even went so far as to question Al's sexuality. Now, quite honestly the man's sexuality is between him and his God and it's not for us to judge. What makes me wonder about the whole thing is Star herself. I sometimes feel she uses that fact that she is famous as an excuse to lie to us. If you think back a few years ago when she started to lose her weight, (and by the way, she looks great), she said that she used diet and exercise. When Rosie O'Donnell called her out on it, Star of course side stepped the issue again. Then when it came time for Star to write her book, THEN she decided to revel that she did indeed have the surgery saying that she NEVER said she didn't. Well, maybe, but isn't being misleading the same as lying?? Now with the divorce, she has been denying for months that everything is fine with her and her husband. Now she says she filed for divorce in March. Then she went on to say that she "made and error in judgement by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life. Uh, Star, you were already famous when you met and married Al. How could you not forsee the media being a part of your life. AND when they got married, they had corporate sponsors to keep the cost down. That's not keeping it on the down low. I think that she is has to expect the media in the divorce just like it was in the wedding. What's the difference?? Anyway, to Star, if things weren't working out, then by all means get out. But, don't complain about the media or us wondering if you've been completely honest with the public. In my eyes, you don't have a good track record. Beyonce and Jay Z have the right idea. They had an intimate wedding with the folks they wanted and they paid for it themselves!!!
